Beer brewery de Koningshoeven christened its beloved La Trappe Quadrupel in 1991 under the approving gaze of the monks. A well-preserved recipe became reality and the very first Quadrupel beer in the world was born.
Colour: warm amber color with a cream-coloured head.
Nose: associations of cloves and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana.
Taste: La Trappe Quadrupel is the heaviest beer of La Trappe Trappist and also the namesake of this beer style. A full, warming and intense taste. Malty with sweet notes of date and caramel.
Finish: soft and slightly bitter aftertaste.
